The McCormick Foundation is a Chicago-based 501(c)3 organization that partners with media outlets, sports teams and philanthropic organizations throughout the country to raise money for local needs. To increase the impact of charitable giving, the McCormick Foundation matches all donation at fifty cents on the dollar. With the Orlando Sentinel and the Foundation paying all campaign and administrative expenses, 100 percent of all donations, plus the match is granted to qualified nonprofit organizations.You give. All organizations undergo a thorough screening during the grant application process to ensure that only high-quality programs with proven results receive funding. Grants are provided through the Family Fund to agencies with programs in the four guideline areas below:
Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment
To support parenting programs that reduce the risk of child abuse and treatment programs that improve the social and emotional functioning of children and youth impacted by abuse and family violence.
Child & Youth Education
To help children and youth grades K-12 achieve academic success, complete high school and enter post-secondary education programs.
To support prevention programs that keep individuals and families at risk of homelessness in stable housing. Also, housing with support services for homeless individuals and families.
To support the hunger relief infrastructure and community programs with case-managed services that assist individuals in their move to stabilization and self-sufficiency.
